Building relationships with clients, councils, and service authorities, David maintains good relationships with those in the land development industry. These relationships, alongside his care for projects and clients, ensures an efficient and positive outcome for clients and communities alike.
While studying, David spent six months at the Melbourne Metropolitan Board of Works (now Melbourne Water) undertaking strategic water supply planning, and a further six months at the City of Box Hill Council Engineering Department, completing surveying, traffic & drainage design and construction projects.
Through his career, David has worked on feasibility studies, surveying, subdivision design, construction supervision and contract administration. He has worked primarily in Victoria, and also worked from 1994 to 2004 in Queensland for the Brisbane City Council. During this time, he earnt the Lord Mayors Award for Excellence for delivering key projects such as the Waterworks Road and Coronation Drive widenings and upgrades.
His responsibilities at Millar Merrigan have included the delivery of projects
from inception to finalisation, including liaison with clients, service
authorities, councils and contractors, feasibility studies, and design checking. David now holds a substantial client base and has good relationships with many stakeholders.
