Project overview
This project is in the heart of Melbourne and being one of Melbourne’s iconic buildings Millar Merrigan were enthusiastic to take part.
Millar Merrigan were able to scan parts of the building with a high level of efficiency and accuracy, not achievable by traditional methods.
Millar Merrigan utilised laser scanning to capture features on the roof, multiple levels internally, and externally at ground level. We also established an external control network to spatially localise the information to MGA2020.
With full colour image overlaid we then provided 3D point clouds of the building to the client, to be used as the basis of their redesign by architects, structural engineers and other professionals.
